Beautiful picture and concept. How did you mangage to get a "black bacdrop" behind them? I'm trying to grasp how you set up this photo.

I put my black backdrop in the pool and used weights to keep it down, I didn't want to spend hours in photoshop :)

hmmmm...who would have guessed. Great idea. I like how the black background makes the subjects stand out...that probably has a lot to do with the overhead sunlight too.

Yes, I shot with the sun high in the sky so the people lit up better. For one girl, it turned her light hair red - sun must have bounced off the black background and cause the effect.
